She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Murray and Lucille Clark Murray; her husband Charles Dewey Blanton; her children, Melba Jean Wheeler and John Timothy Blanton; her grandchildren, Amberly Jackson and Brandon Houston; her siblings, Melba JoAnn "Tot" Shivar and David "Bud" Murray; and her sister-in-law Faye Foy Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Blanton, Jr. (Melinda) of Wallace and Nancy Blanton Jackson (James) of Wallace; her grandchildren, Carl Wheeler (Melissa), Sandra Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Brandy Wheeler, Amanda Poindexter (Steven), Bradley Blanton (Rebecca), Aaron Blanton (Ashley) and Blake Jackson (Abigail); her great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Kaylee, Braylon, Ethan, Mason, Nicholas, Addison, Ashlyn, Chloe and Easton; her brother Ronnie Murray (Lola); her daughter-in-law Kay Blanton; her stepgrandchildren, Sabrina Register and Todd Derby; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caleb Parker and Dakota Register; and her close friend James Dowtin. She is also survived by canine companion "Gracie"; numerous extended family and friends.
