She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dewitt Blanton, Sr. and Ethel Rich Blanton; and her husband Graham Henry Powell. She is survived by: her sister Kathleen Blanton; her children, Gary Edward Foy, Gail Foy Teachey (Greg), Greg Allen Foy, Marie Young, Debbie Farrow (Bennie) and Pete Powell; her grandchildren, Kelly Foy, Kayla Murray (Jeffrey), Katie Foy, Travis Foy, Tia Whaley (Danny) and Jamie Farrow (Megan); her great grandchildren, Rowan Murray, Gracie Murray, Colten Murray and Bryson McCarty; her sister Barbara Sholar; her aunts, Elizabeth Foley and Louise English; her niece Shannon Sholar; her sister-in-law Faye Blanton; and her friend Fay.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be sent to Peniel PFWB Youth Dept., 2370 Willard Road, Wallace, NC 28466.
