It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Charlotte Lanier of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Earl and Etta Mae Cockman Rivenbark; her daughter Evelyn Lanier Powell; and her siblings, Preston E. Rivenbark, Jr., Elizabeth Taylor, Francis Rivenbark, Joseph Rivenbark, Bobby Rivenbark, Waylon Rivenbark, Rupert Rivenbark, Jimmy Rivenbark, Linwood Rivenbark and Nelva Rivenbark Albury.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Lanier, Jr. (Tammy) of Rose Hill, Wayne Lanier (Diana) of Tampa, Amber Wilson (Brian) of Rose Hill and Blair Davis (John) of Wallace; her grandchildren, Preston Lanier, Brandon Lanier, Lauren Lanier, McKennah Lanier, Kai Lanier and Nevaeh Lanier; her great grandchildren, Tanner Brennan (Lindsey), Ripley Wilson and Elle Raegan Davis; her siblings, Connie Pittman and Donald Rivenbark; and her friend Charlotte. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
