He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Archie Carr and Gertrude Beatty Carr; and his siblings, Richard Carr, Sarah Tate and Bessie Loftley.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Highsmith Carr; his children, Charlie James Carr Jr. (Kelly) and Tasha Carr Sanders; and his grandchildren, Mya Carr, Maylani Carr, Layla Carr, Christian Sanders and Herbie Newton. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, 6 brothers-in-law; and a host of devoted nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
