She was predeceased by: her son Marcellus Scarbrough; and her sisters, Barbara Simmons and Theresa Hucks. She is survived by: her husband Deacon Lorenzo Scarbrough; her children, Willie Bennerman, Teresa (Ronald Wilder), Lorenza Scarbrough Jr. (Sharmaine James), Tommy, Mandy Scarbrough, Fanta (James Whitley) and JaQuan James (Niya Scarbrough); and her siblings, Flora (Lindsey Hall), Mattie Ruth (Lesley Fletcher), Willie Ruth (Dennis Shepard), Patrick (Leslie Jackson) and Clearance Thomas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces, nephews and friends.
