She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Thomas and Addie Sholar Stokes; her husband James Benjamin Rouse; her granddaughter Cindy Bivins; and her siblings, William Carroll Stokes, Annie Thomas Stokes and Vada Adva Stokes.
She is survived by: her daughter Virginia Leary of Wallace; her grandchildren, Chris Corbett (Tammy), Heidi Lea Corbett, Sherry Corbett Laughey and Tommy Hill, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Leslie Corbett Cavanaugh (Joshua) and Emily Beth Corbett; her great great grandchild Izabella Jane Cavenaugh; and her friend Beatrice. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
