It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Axon Deuland Sholar of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sholar and Bertha Raynor Sholar; and his siblings, Earl Sholar and Dorothy Horne. He is survived by: his wife Ann Lanier Sholar; his children, Darren Sholar (Fran) of Wallace and DeAnn Sholar of Wallace; his grandchildren, Delani Sigworth (Jacob), Kati Sholar and Molli Sholar; his great grandchild Amelia Sigworth; and his sister Delores Horne (John) of Richlands. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
