It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Hunter of Wallace, North Carolina, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on March 25, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frederick Lummel and Evelyn Lummel (Flint); her husband Roger Hunter of Wallace; and her children, Robin Polk (Wayne), Ken Hunter, Kathy Knott (Joe) and David Hunter (Andrea).
She was awarded Volunteer of the Year for both the Alzheimer's Association and the YWCA.
