It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Murray of Wallace, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Zachariah and Viola Narcissus English Mills; her husband Major Everette Murray; her siblings, Mavis English, Elwood Mills, Hazel Giddeons, Mary Blackburn, Bonnie Teachey, Bobby Z. Mills, Merrill Tiderman and Josephine Mills; and her son-in-law William Watts.
She is survived by: her children, Shelley M. Strickland (Dwight) of Willard, Forrest Wray Murray of Wallace and Shannon M. Watts of Wallace; her sister Armour Mills Moore of Rose Hill; her siblings-in-law, Henry Teachey of Rose Hill, Eugene "Punk" Fussell of Rose Hill and Laurie Lefler of Surf City; her grandchildren, Bret Allen Strickland, Blair Nicole Strickland, Taylor Bryce Murray and Trenton Ryan Watts; and her great grandchildren, Banks Allen Strickland, Wylie Watts and Ethan Ramirez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
