He was predeceased by: his father John Dossie Norwood Sr.; his sisters, Linda Norwood, Shirley Norwood and Dorothy Norwood, MD; his niece Aisha Nickerson; and his nephew Derek Worthy.
He is survived by: his mother Ruby Lyons Norwood; his sisters, Dianne Norwood and Cynthia Norwood Skinner; his nieces and nephews, Camilla Washington (Barry), Mia Elliott, Rahim Skinner (Addea), Albert R. Nickerson and Justin Skinner; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Eric Hairston, Rodney Williams (Katlyn), Joseph Elliott, John Keith Nickerson, Micah Skinner, Brie McCullough, Ashyia Nickerson, Ayah Skinner and Juliette Joy Williams; his brother-in-law Albert Nickerson (late Dorothy Norwood MD); his close friend Claudette Goodwin; and also Khylan Hairston. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
