He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Clark Morris and Lena Emmeline Cook Morris; and his son James Earl "Jimmy" Morris, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jenny Lee White Morris; his children, Jonathan Morris and Jennifer Morris Sell (Scott); his daughter-in-law Kimberly Morris; his grandsons, Levi Morris (Maggie), Mason Morris (Emily), Cole Sell (Madison) and Jake Sell; his great grandchildren, Grayson Morris and Paige Sell; and his friend Michael Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to REVO Church-Walkertown Campus, P.O. Box 20697, Winston-Salem, NC 27120.
