He is survived by: his wife Phoebe M. Hill of Belews Creek; his children, Karen Griffin (Louie), Tina Blackwelder (James) and Garry Hill (Jane); his grandchildren, Dale Avery, Clifton Avery and Kari Fortune (Jason); his great grandchildren, Eva Avery, Lyla Fortune, Grayson Hecht and Atreyu Yonce; and also, Lindsay Decker (Jason), Chancey Yonce (Emma) and Kalef Blackwelder.
