Oscar Yates Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oscar Yates (Wake Forest, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wray (Josephine Yates) and Oscar; his wife Ester Allen Redd Yates; his son William Donald Yates; his grandson Donald Kevin Mercer; and his brother Thomas Yates.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Yates of Wake Forest and Louis Yates of Warrenton; his granddaughter April Nicole Bakersville of Henderson; and his brother Joseph Vernon Yates (Susan) of Pittsboro. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
