In the vast expanse of eternity, Francis Powell shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Francis Powell farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rheubert Gupton and Florence Moore Gupton; and his brother A. C. Gupton. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jeffreys Gupton; his son Jeff Gupton (Angie) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Brooke Garrett (Jonathan) of Franklinton and Grant Gupton of Raleigh; and his cousin Linda West of Louisburg. He is also survived by his extended family and many dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home (1051 Durham Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A reception was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
