He was predeceased by: his parents, Orva Honaker and Francis Marion Toney, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Edna P. Toney; his daughters, Elizabeth Melvin (Roger) and Susan Gilliam (Johnny); his grandchildren, John Melvin (Emily) and Mayla Gilliam; his great grandchildren, Catherine and Sam Melvin; his stepdaughters, Catina Hayes (Ronnie) and Joan Stone (Mark); and his stepgrandsons, Logan Hayes and Matthew Stone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
