She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Alford and Candice Alford; her siblings, Margie Keith, Mary Barham and Luther; and her daughter-in-law Diane Williams Horton of Bailey.
She is survived by: her sons, David of Wake Forest, Bruce of Wake Forest, Randall Horton (Beth) of Wake Forest and Tony Horton (Lisa) of Louisburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
