He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wilkes and Eva Wilkes. He is survived by: his wife Lois Sapp Wilkes; his daughter Melissa Gilbert (Daryl); and his grandchildren, Keith Gilbert (Taunya), Crystal Martin (Matt) and Cara Smith (Scott). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
