He is survived by: his children, Ricka Kreider (Gary) and Mike Carr (Jackie); his grandchildren, Matthew Kreider (Katie), Sarah Kreider Kinnard (Aaron) and Michael Christopher Carr; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Bennett, Joel Koito (Ashley M.), Jason Koito (Ashley D.), Nathan Koito and Shane Koito; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaleb, Luka Kreider, Graydon Kinnard, Korbin Koito, Kaci Liberto, Colson Koito and Scooter.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Samaritan's Purse (at http://www.samaritanspurse.org) so they can continue to help his fellow North Carolinians suffering in Western North Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene's devastation.
