He was predeceased by: his parents, Burley Young and Lucy Scott Young; and his brother Buddy Young. He is survived by: his children, Kent Young (Susan) of Wake Forest and Kitty Daniels (Danny); his grandchildren, Kent E. Young, Jr. of Wendell, Sierra Laine Haywood (Caleb) of Knightdale, Clayton Thomas of Oxford, Danielle Stokes (Rodney) of Raleigh, Colby Thomas of Wake Forest, Cliff Daniel (Meranda) of Wake Forest and Sarah Little (James) of Florence, SC; his great grandchildren, Ridge, Walker Little, Roman, Chloe and Paxton Daniels; and his brothers, Earl Young of Raleigh and Don Young of Chapel Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
