She was predeceased by: her parent Barney "Son" Cole; her spouse John Willie Ellis, Jr.; her grandson Christopher Scott Reese; and her siblings, Barney "Karo" Cole, Jr., John Lindsey Cole and Kathleen Campbell.
She is survived by: her parent Julie Hatcher Cole; her daughters, Ann Ellis Smith of Laurinburg, Rebecca Joyce Fields of Wilmington and Kim Ellis Clark (Deon) of Wagram; her brother Thomas Cole (Sally) of Bolivia; her sister-in-law Vickie Cole of Rocky Mount; and her grandchildren, Jimmie Channing Smith, Jr., Misty Ann Chavis (Heath), Jason Michael Thompson, Stephanie Michelle Spivey (Dylan) and Jimmy "Jay" Reese, Jr.. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; her church family and a host of loving friends.
