He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Hines Sr. and Beulah McNair Hines; his son James Andre Hines; and his siblings, John C. Hines Jr., Angus McNair Hines Sr. and Veloise Hines.
He is survived by: his children, Tamisha Hines of Myrtle Beach, SC, Derrick Hines of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Aaron Hines of New York, NY and Danzel Hines of Bronx, NY; and his siblings, Beulah Joyce Robinson (Eugene) of Sandy Springs, GA, Edna Copeland (David) of Laurinburg, NC, Carolyn Huger (Stephen) of Stone Mountain, GA, Sondra Swann (Hebert) of Laurinburg, NC and Simuel Hines (Estella Hayes) of Wagram, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 17 nephews and nieces; and a host of great and great-great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Spring Branch Missionary Baptist Church (21300 Old Wire Rd, Wagram, NC 28396). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Oak Hill Cemetery- Hines Annex (30360 N Turnpike Rd, Wagram, NC 28396).
