He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Johnston McKay; and his siblings, Peggy McKay Nelson and John Archibald McKay II. He is survived by: his parents, John Leach McKay and Gertrude McGuire McKay; his son Jeffrey Leach McKay; and his grandchildren, Mollie McKay of Charleston, Emily McKay of Bozeman, Andrew McKay and Nathan McKay of Fairbanks, Alaska. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
