He is survived by: his children, Frederick Rorie (Maudestine) of Wadesboro and Carolyn Belts (Anthony) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Keshia Rorie, Roannalyn Rorie, CJ Rorie, Frederick Rorie, Jr., Zalijah Rorie and Corey Rorie; his great grandchildren, Jaquanna Clark, Dyshon Clark, Lisa Davis, Keeylnn Davis, Jacques Smith, Deiondre Smith, Taniasa Rorie, Tanayia Rorie, Takaria Rorie and Layonnia Rorie; his great great grandchildren, Naylia Harvey, Jayla Jordan, Frederick Rorie III and Josiah Rorie; and his close friends, Duncan Leake and Vernice Rorie, Sr..
