He is survived by: his wife Daisy Waddell Gatewood; his sons, Jermel Waddell (Tammy), Justin Gatewood and Jared Gatewood (Kimberly); his siblings, Charles McKellar (Rachel), Fayetteville, Danny McKellar, Lilesville, Mary Bennett of Albemarle, NC, Wilhelmenia Parsons (Roosevelt) and Carttrette McKellar Knox; his sisters-in-law, Erika Ingram, Ashley Wall, Ruth R. Smith of Rockingham, NC and Kay Brewington (James); his grandchildren, DeMarqus, Christopher, DeMazj, DeMari, D'Mani, Jermel Jr., Jeremiah and Hallie; his mother-in-law Jeanette Wall of Rockingham, NC; his aunt Easter G. Rhue; and his uncle Otis Gatewood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends.
