She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Richard Walker and Corrie Mae Hinson Walker; her husband Howard Dunlap Teal; her son Johnny Teal; and her siblings, A. J. McRae, Johnny McRae, Bobby McRae, Leila Darden, Nellie Brown, Ellen James and Rena Bowman.

She is survived by: her son Steve; her daughter-in-law Anne Teal of Hamilton, OH; her grandchildren, Brad Teal of Northern Kentucky, Cheryl Davis (Jason) of Liberty Township, OH and Wynn Teal of Raleigh; and her great grandchild Andrew Hannah. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.

“Steve and family, It has been a very long time since I was at Bowman’s working with you but I have wonderful memories of summer and weekends spent there. Your mother was a beautiful person both inside and out. We all took different roads in life but I see you stayed in Ohio. I retired in 17, spending my entire career in textile management. Your mom lived a long life and you have wonderful memories of a beautiful soul. She was a strong lady to have kept up with her boys-Howard, Johnny & Steve.”
