He was predeceased by: his father Robert Tyler Edwards; and his stepmother Judy McCormick Edwards. He is survived by: his mother Catherine Hendley Pendergraft of Sanford; his wife Lynn Mabry Edwards; his children, Tyler Edwards (Erin) of Rockingham and Christie Mclean Edwards of Hickory; his granddaughters, Ava Edwards and Ella Edwards; his siblings, Robin Edwards (Lisa) of Wilmington, Brian Edwards (Patricia) of Manassas Park, VA and Lisa Edwards of Sanford; and his stepbrothers, Ricky Freeman (Annette) of Polkton and David Freeman (Angel) of Holden Beach.
