He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Wilbert Gardner, Jr. and Louisa Ellen Brower; his caregiver Christy Thompson; his children, Eddie Thompson (Bonnie) of Lilesville, LuAnn Gardner (Hal) of Moss Beach, CA and Lisa Treadaway of Conover; his grandchildren, Quinn Hildebrand, Autumn Solomon (Chandler), Lindsay Mckaskle (Brandon), Jackson Treadaway and Laney Treadaway; his great grandchildren, Kinsley Edwards, Saylor Mckaskle and Amelia Solomon; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Treadaway (Bo) of Wadesboro and Margaret Knotts of Lilesville.
