It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steve E. Carpenter (Wadesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on October 8, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Perry and Ellen Inez Tucker Carpenter; and his son-in-law Robert "Mack" Benton. He is survived by: his wife Sue McRae Carpenter; his children, Kay Carpenter Smith (Mark) of Oakboro, Karla Carpenter Benton of Wadesboro and Steve Carpenter, Jr. (Nichole) of Ansonville; his grandchildren, Brandy Laakso (Tim), Mandy Smith (Lee), Cody Smith (Matthew) and Maddie Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Laakso and Melody Laakso; and his sister Frances High of Ansonville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
