He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Edward "Doc" Kelly and Fannie Belle Williams Kelly; his wife Faye Miller Kelly; his son Danny Kelly; and his siblings, Julia Belle Hildreth, Alma Honeycutt and Leak Kelly.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Bryant (Rufus) of Morven and Dale Kelly (Kathy) of Lilesville; his grandchildren, April Parks (Lowell) of Wadesboro, Chris Wright (Stacy) of Holden Beach, P. J. Kistler of Rockingham, Amanda Kouri (Dennis) of Sierra Vista, AZ and D. J. Kelly (Kristyn) of Granite Falls; and his siblings, Lou Simpson (Monroe) of Ansonville, Warren Kelly (Terri) of Kannapolis, Margaret Ponds (Stanley) of Wadesboro, John Kelly (Teah) of Wadesboro, Ed Kelly (William) of Lexington, SC and Denise Shepard (Steve) of Biscoe. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandson.
