We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2021, at the age of 84, Shirley Long Meachum of Wadesboro, North Carolina, born in McFarlan, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Molly Jordan Long and Morman Long; her spouse Davis J. Meachum of Wadesboro Shirley; her siblings, Helen Davidson of Charlotte and John Long of Wadesboro; and her children, Ramona Masterton of Charlotte, David Meachum (Stephen) of Peachland and Stephen Meachum of Belmont. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be in Shirley's honor to Hospice of Anson County or of Union County, at 919 East Caldwell St, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
