She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Jackson and Cassie Lee Sturdivant Jackson; and her siblings, Mildred Huntley, Helen Jean Jackson and William Earl Jackson.

She is survived by: her siblings, Eddie Jackson (Lydia), Wille Pearl Ingram, Jay Huey Jackson (Mae), James Jackson, William Thomas Jackson, Robert Jackson, Letha Hamilton (Percival), Jean Stanback, Jane Jackson and Nelson Jackson (Lula); and her cousins, Angela Sturdivant and Carla Thomas.
