He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Junior Kendall and Harriet Rivers Kendall; and his brother-in-law Robert Tillman. He is survived by: his daughter Erica Smith of Lilesville, NC; his grandson Noah Barringer of Lilesville, NC; his sisters, Shirley Tillman, Rosa Jackson (Thomas) and Retha Lindsay (Donnell); and his aunt Mildred Rivers. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
