She was predeceased by: her parents, William McLendon and Laura Caraway McLendon; her siblings, William, Billy, Lewis, Thomas, Amos McLendon, Annie McLendon, Helen McLendon Crawford, Rebecca McLendon, Clarissa McLendon, Elaine McLendon Maye and Nezzie McLendon; and her nephews, Robert McLendon Sr., Bobby McLendon, Fulton McLendon and Samel McLendon.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence V. Boggan, Jr.; her children, Tevin Boggan (Farrah) of Durham, NC, LaTosha Boggan of Wadesboro, NC, Dr. LaKeisha Boggan of Wingate, NC, Kristie Williams (Richard) of Gastonia, NC and Daryl Boggan of Washington, DC; her godson Antoine Calloway of Charlotte, NC.; her siblings, Larry McLendon of Wadesboro, NC and Sadie Billie of Lexington, NC.; her nephew Deacon Lewis McLendon Sr. (Pastor Sylvia) of Wadesboro, NC; her stepdaughters, Bridgette Sellars (Terrence) of Greensboro, NC and Tangela Collins-Myers (Doug) of Indian Trail, NC; her grandchildren, Breanna, Ajeya, Aubrey, Jordyn, Jada, Amiyah, Lola, Bryce, Kam, Sebastian and Kylar; her stepgrandsons, Jason, Jackson and Collin; her great grandchildren, Amir and Amira; her nieces, Eveatte Flowers and Shantel Wall; her siblings-in-law, Willie Boggan (Kim) of Harrisburg, NC, Edward Boggan, Kenneth Boggan (Katie) of Wadesboro, NC, Gregory Boggan of Burnsville, NC, Ollie Parker, Mae Boggan of Wadesboro, NC, Fannie Spruill (Octavious) of Greensboro, NC, Francis McLendon of Thomasville, NC and Mickie Gilbert of New Jersey; and her friends, Ernestine Richardson and Goldie Deese. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Family Residence (3655 White Store Rd, Wadesboro, NC 28170). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Smith's Memorial Chapel (604 Salisbury St, Wadesboro, NC 28170).
