With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Douglas Lowry (Wadesboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father George William Lowry. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Dawkins Lowry; his children, Christy Street (Ivan) of Raeford and Chris Lowry of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Blake Lowry of Alaska and Brooke Lowry of Norwood; his sisters, Jane Kimrey of Norwood and Ann Bundy of Bennettsville, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Rita and Edwin Cornwell of Lilesville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and FirstHealth Cancer Center for the assistance and care they gave Bob and because of their kindness, the family suggests memorials be made to them.
