It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Gainey of Wadesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bunnes Ratliff and Martha Frances Ratliff. She is survived by: her son Michael A. Gainey; her stepchildren, Sonya O. Chisholm and Marcs A. Chisholm; her nephew Ray Harold Martin; her cousins, Charlene Martin, Mary Frances Martin and John Martin, Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Simon (Bobby) and Nancy Gainey; and her close friends, Daisy Crowder and Yvonne Caraway. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
