She was predeceased by: her husband Brad; her daughter Paula; her son-in-law Teddy; her parents, James Edward Maree and Bessie Jane Butler Maree; and her siblings, Pansy Baker, Faye Gregory, Magdalene Williams, Thomas Maree and James Maree.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tara Shumard (Jeff) of Marshville and Ted Stegall (Nicole) of Marshville; her great grandchildren, Jackson Shumard, Grayson Shumard, Bradley Stegall and Lillian Stegall; her brothers, Allen Maree of Rockingham and Claude Maree (Vivian) of Wadesboro; and her siblings-in-law, Shasta Pope of Ansonville, Frank Pope of Ansonville, Grace Pope Pope (David) of Nashville and Ann Pope of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
