He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mason Knotts and Effie Huntley Knotts. He is survived by: his wife Minnie L. Knotts; his children, Latonya Knotts, Lillie Smith (Bryant), Jana Shavon Price and Paul C. Knotts Jr. (Krystal); his grandchildren, Sierra Lowery, Shania Lowery, Samirah Knotts, Sophie Bennett, Raekwon Price, Aniya Price and Carl Lindsey III; his siblings, Minnie Chambers (Frederick), Elder Jewel Bennett, Willie Knotts (Dot), Jimmy Knotts (Margaret), Alexander Knotts (Sharon) and James Neal (Belinda); his sisters-in-law, Prophetess C. K. Byrd, Deborah Royal, Jackie Little and Patricia Knotts; and his uncles, Fred Knotts (Betty) and Risdon Knotts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
