He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harrison Forbes and Margaret Harrell Forbes; his wife Nancy Almond Forbes; and his sister Paula Sue Forbes. He is survived by: his children, Jane Daniels (Steve) of Charlotte, Missy Knotts (Steve) of Wadesboro, Leon Cole (Susan) of Wadesboro and Lance Cole (Donna) of Norwood; and his close friend Peggy Martin.
