He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sallie Hatcher and Sim Hatcher; his daughter Dale Carpenter; and his grandchildren, Christopher, David, Andrew Carpenter and Emily Hamilton. He was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren.
