With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lanny Melvin Lewis of Wadesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lewis of Washington and Ruth Eloise Thompson Lewis. He is survived by: his children, Lanora Bayer (Dave) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lorraine Kifer (Ray) of Wadesboro and Lanny Lewis II; his grandchildren, Jessica Woodall (Jeremiah), Jordan Hannah, Renee Kifer, Ray Kifer Jr., Emily Sekula, Stephanie Lewis, Samantha Lewis and Morgan Bayer; his siblings, Larry Lewis (Mary) of Pensacola, FL, Trailor Lewis (Linda) of Hartsville, SC and Lynn Lee (James David) of Wadesboro, NC; and his pet Sam. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family suggest memorials be made to El Bethel Baptist Church, 532 McRae Ave, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
