He is survived by: his son Glenn Carpenter (Katie) of Polkton; his grandchildren, Waylon Carpenter and Nevaeh Gray; and his sisters, Margaret Duvall of Cheraw, SC, Nancy Usrey (Mike) of Rockingham and Tammy Liles of Polkton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
