With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Jeffery Rodgers (Wadesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 67. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Johnnie Jeffery Rodgers to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bunyon "JB" Rodgers and Myrtle Louise Deese Rodgers; his wife Marie Hill Rodgers; and his grandson Michael Lee Freeman. He is survived by: his children, Susanna Simpson of Robbins, Rebecca Freeman (Daniel) of Nunam Iqua, AK, Samuel Rodgers of Pinebluff, Sarah Marnell (Eddie) of Robbins and Barbara Moss of Greensboro; and his sister Lawanda Rodgers of Wadesboro. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Due to the rise in the number of COVID cases, the family has chosen to have a private service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to one of Johnnie's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave #100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
