He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie Marshall Freeman and Billie Bernice Privette Freeman; his brother Tommy Freeman; and also Russell Melton. He is survived by: his close friend Kendra Melton; his children, Brandie Kitteredge of Norwood and Tabatha Wyland of Laurinburg; his siblings, Billy Freeman (Martha) of Mint Hill, Shirley Boyer (Ray) of Wadesboro and Carol Boyer (Albert) of Wadesboro; and also, Sheena Coppin (Philippe) of Monroe and Shannon Simms of Marshville. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made either to Calvary Baptist Church, 430 Lansford Dr., Wadesboro, NC 28170 or to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
