He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Buchanon and Julia Bowman Buchanon; his significant other Johnsie Sturdivant Buchanon; his children, Jackie Emmanuel Buchanon and Cynthia Gail Hamilton; and his grandsons, Tadarell Lee and Shay Mackie.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Marie Buchanon of Peachland, NC and Reggie Antone Buchanon of Wingate, NC; and his son-in-law James Thomas Hamilton of Peachland, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren, seventeen (17) great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
