He was predeceased by: his father Presley Melton; and his brothers, Archie Bennett (Lillian) and McKeness Melton Sr. (Peggy). He is survived by: his mother Lucile Melton; and his siblings, Sylvia Frances Pratt, William Preston Melton, Alva Lane Melton, Brenda Faye Bennett (Sylvester), Rita Mae McLean (Elbert) and Veronica Pressley (Vience).
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith's Funeral Home (604 Salisbury St, Wadesboro, NC 28170). Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Life Redeeming Faith Ministries. A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
