He is survived by: his parents, Taylor, Sr. and Lieutenant Governor; his children, Elizabeth Ann Taylor (Ben Gullette) of Chapel Hill, Hoyt Patrick Taylor III (Katie Reilly) of Chapel Hill and Adam Lockhart Taylor (Paige Dosser) of Raleigh; his sister Caroline Taylor Craig of Wichita; and his grandchildren, Kathryn Ann Taylor, Hoyt Patrick Taylor IV, Elizabeth Louisa Taylor and Virginia Lockhart Taylor.
