With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Carpenter Streater of Wadesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Pinkston Carpenter and Betty Lee Bailey Carpenter; her husband Ernest Streater; and her sister Gay Harney. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Poplin (Jeff) of Wadesboro, Terry Streater (Irene) of Monroe, Cindy Caudle (Tracy) of Wadesboro and Rosemary Greene (John) of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Jennifer Stovall (Robert) of Wadesboro, Beth Diggs (Rodney) of Wadesboro, Stephanie Brown (Jody) of Polkton, Elizabeth Poplin of Helena, Matthew Streater (Kellie) of Indian Trail, Quentin Streater (Sydney Parks) of Unionville, April Mullis (Kevin) of Wadesboro, Kyle Caudle (Keely Terry) of Wadesboro, Tyler Greene (Alexis) of Wadesboro and Erin Ratliff (Will) of Wadesboro; her great grandchildren, Katelyn Stovall, Brooke Stovall, Reagan Diggs, Carlee Brown, Lila Brown, Willow Poplin, Wren Poplin and Raelynn Mullis; her siblings, Ruth Turner of Wadesboro, Peggy Martin of Wadesboro, Jean Thompson of Wadesboro, Robert Carpenter of Wadesboro and Ralph Carpenter of Wadesboro; and her sister-in-law Anner Lean Wilkes of Wadesboro. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
