She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Bernard Burrell Sturdivant and Julia McLendon Sturdivant; and her son Sean Owens. She is survived by: her children, Cathy J. Sturdivant and Robbie S. Owens (Maria); and her siblings, Mildred Sturdivant of Charlotte, Juanita Choplin of Monroe, Brenda Tillman, Vivian Kellock of Wadesboro, Carolyn Rorie of Wallace, Hubert Sturdivant of Charlotte, John E. Sturdivant of Elizabeth City and Roy Hubbard of Florida. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
