He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ratliff and Clara Ratliff; and his siblings, Andrew Ratliff, Aaron Ratliff, Esther Preslar and Edna Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, David G. Ratliff, Jr., Sherry Ratliff Pearson and Terri Ratliff; his grandchildren, Hannah Ratliff and Ben Ratliff; his siblings, Delton Ratliff, Dallas Ratliff, Ernestine Brooks and Avis Crowley; and also Peggy Tice Ratliff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many special friends.
