He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Hancock; his grandson TeValin; his children, Bethania Robinson (James) of Aberdeen, NC, Morocca of Wadesboro, NC and Veronica Griffin (Elbert) of Wake Forest, NC; his siblings, Ernest Rorie (Annie) of Liberty, NC, Marvis Rorie (Lillian) of Monroe, NC and Carolyn Bledsoe (Cornelius) of Greensboro, NC.; his grandchildren, Jordan Griffin, Tealin Rorie, Blaise Robinson, Dallas Griffin, Amber Rodgers, Deja Griffin and Ellise Griffin; his great grandchild Ace Rodgers; and his sisters, Katie Mae McCormick, Susie Erwin, Annie Lee Sinclair and Katherine Smith.
